24-volt selectivity over 36 outputs
New extension module for Sitop power supply system PSU8600
Nuremberg, Germany. Siemens is adding the new extension module Sitop CNX8600 8 x 2.5 A (amperes) to its Sitop PSU860 power supply system. It comes with eight outputs and is designed to supplement the spectrum of existing modules CNX8600 4 x 5 A and 4 x 10 A. The basic device Sitop PSU8600 with one or four outputs can be equipped with up to four extension modules. In addition, the eight-channel module enables even more precise allocation and fusing of the DC circuit across up to 36 outputs, permitting even faster localization of faults in the control circuit. The response current per output can be adjusted between 0.5 and 2.5 A. Sitop PSU8600 is completely integrated into the TIA (Totally Integrated Automation) Portal and offers communication over the OPC UA (OPC Unified Architecture) standard.
The basic unit of the Sitop PSU860 power supply system comes with either one or four outputs. Each of these units can be combined with up to four Sitop CNX8600 extension modules. As the new extension module comes with eight outputs in a particularly compact 100-millimeter overall width, users now benefit from a power supply system
offering up to 36 outputs. The
voltage and current of the individual outputs can be continuously measured and individually adjusted:
The output voltage from 4 to
28 volts, and the current response threshold from 0.5 to 2.5 amperes.
Rapid troubleshooting and TIA Portal integration
In the manual mode, one pair of potentiometers (output voltage and response threshold value) each controls two outputs. In remote control mode, each output can be individually adjusted over Profinet, Webserver or OPC UA. The new CNX module and the expansion to as many as
36 outputs enable extremely precise allocation of the power circuit,
enabling rapid localization of any faults. Sitop PSU8600 is the only power supply system to enable full integration into the TIA (Totally Integrated Automation) Portal and manufacturer-independent communication over OPC UA.
